BATTERY REPLACEMENT
The unit is powered by two replaceable 1.5 volt AAA extra heavy duty
batteries which should last half year assuming the refrigerator door is
opened an average of 20 times per day for 7 seconds each time. To
replace batteries lift off the unit from the mounting bracket. Remove
the battery cover on the rear of the unit and pull out used batteries
noting polarity. Insert two new extra heavy duty AAA batteries.
HELPFUL HINTS
If the LCD only displays –22 –22 reset the circuit by removing the
batteries, waiting a few minutes and then replacing.
The unit will take 30 minutes, after you put it in your refrigerator, to
accurately measure the temperature.
Do not pull on the freezer probe wire.
Most authorities recommend your freezer be at 0ºF and your
refrigerator be between 37ºF - 40ºF.
• Remove the mounting bracket from the unit. Remove the non-stick
tape paper from the adhesive tape and stick the mounting bracket on
the left wall of the refrigerator compartment near the top and front so
it can be easily viewed when the refrigerator door is opened.
• Attach the unit on the mounting bracket and place the freezer probe
wire in the freezer. Be careful not to pinch the wire in door hinge or
